Introduction, exploration and advancement are the techniques we use in our teaching approach. If you currently are not playing an orchestral instrument and are interested, we will start you onto your music journey. If you are currently playing, our assistance will advance your growth as a musician. With a strong foundation on music notation, our lessons will cover all areas of music and your instrument.
DOUBLE BASS
In 1542, Silvestro Ganassi developed a bass viola da gamba in Venice, which is often regarded as the “progenitor” of the double-bass. The double bass is used widely in many musical genres, it can be played with a bow or pizzicato.
VIOLIN, VIOLA, CELLO
The violin, viola, and cello were first made in the early 16th century, in Italy. Violins are likely to have been developed from a number of other string instruments of the 15th and 16th centuries, including the vielle, rebec, and lira da braccio.
